When Harry Knowles opened his three-room restaurant on New Year’s Eve, 1956, he never thought that his dream of creating a fine dining establishment would culminate in an institution that, according to The New York Times, is “as close as one can get to perfection”.

Now a sixth generation family of restaurateurs, the business continues to grow both physically and conceptually, with business plans that demonstrate the individual properties’ “green” business practices and tackling the newest media formats to stay in tune with our customers.
